Here at 360 imagery, we get to visit and shoot some pretty amazing places, both here in the UK and all over the world. Creating bespoke 360 Virtual Tours has been our passion now for over 10 years, but we still get excited when we get a commission for something a bit different and also a venue that we know (& the client recognises) will be showcased to it’s very best with one of our tours.

We met the client, Bowling Vision, through a trade exhibition towards the end of 2018. Bowling Vision is the exclusive distributor for Brunswick bowling equipment, supplies, parts and consumer products throughout the United Kingdon and Ireland. They also undertake complete bowling alley installs across the UK creating amazing, bespoke bowling venues.

Bowling Vision had recently completed a complete redesign and install of what had been an old, tired bowling alley based in Bishops Stortford (and closed down in 2013). Fast forward 5 years and the place – now known as Ace of Lanes – is totally unrecognisable, transformed into an amazing, boutique bowling destination. We arrived on a soggy mid-December to do the photography and were totally ‘bowled’ away – it’s not like any bowling alley we’ve ever been to! The ‘Steam Punk’ theme, the fitout and attention to detail make this a fantastic venue….. 12 boutique bowling lanes, all equipped with state-of-the-art touch screens, combined with delicious cocktails & food service straight to your lane!

Bowling Vision wanted a way of showing off not only the bowling equipment (Brunswick) install, but also the complete ‘Steam Punk’ themed fitout throughout the play areas, bar and restaurant. This is where 360 imagery came in….! We created a bespoke, high resolution, interactive and immersive 360 virtual tour including text-based annotations throughout, detailing the different construction elements used in the fit out (and linking back to the client website).
